Packet tracer is great if you're just starting out, but there are A LOT of limitations once you get passed ICND1 (I'm not even able to assign a static IP on the DHCP pool because it doesnt recognize Host command.) GNS3 is also great but you have to have the actual IOS bin file (which i fortunately do have) but there are limitations with L2 switching as some of you may know. My only problem is the limitations of some of these sims. So I am getting more and more into the networking world and seriously considering taking my ICND1 and 2 over the next couple of months.
